Abstract

This article provides information about the concept design, features and experience values of the E-Learning software ”Stud.IP” (open source). The functional range covers timetables, upload of documents, discussion boards, personal homepages, chatrooms etc. The goal is to offer an up to date infrastructure of both instruction and learning. In addition, scientists get a high performance environment for the administration of its personnel, care of their web pages and the automatic generation of meeting- or personnel lists. Operators can access a reliable support system and may take part in a widespread developer community.
